Woman leader cons relief food meant for Bamba

A Kilifi woman representative hopeful in the forthcoming general election has gone underground after diverting relief food meant for the drought stricken Bamba ward.

The politician allegedly ferried the over 100 bags of maize from Ganze Constituency and distributed them to her groups in Kilifi north constituency.

It is rumoured the leader of disgrace distributed the food to her campaign teams in Kilifi north.

Whispers understands that the woman leader convinced an administrator that she had been sent by the government official who brought sent the relief food to a warehouse at the administrator’s office.

“I was called by a government official informing me about his plans to bring relief food to Bamba. After sometime I met a local administrator who asked me when I last talked to the government official who is also eyeing a political seat. He told me the food was brought but another leader came and picked it from the store and took it to Kakanjuni and other areas in Kilifi North,” a source intimated to whispers.

The woman leader had told a politician from Ganze that they would distribute the food once she returns from a foreign trip.
