Renowned veteran broadcaster Khamisi Themor has passed on.

Themor, 72 died on Thursday evening while undergoing treatment at Coptic hospital in Nairobi.

He was admitted to the facility on Wednesday after complaining of stomach pains.

He underwent a surgical procedure to remove a blockage in the large colon but his condition worsened on Thursday and he was rushed to the High Dependency Unity where he succumbed at around 6:30 pm.

Themor had an illustrious broadcasting career at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation spanning over two decades.

He is survived by a widow, four sons and a daughter.
