Two people lost their lives on Monday evening while 16 others sustained serious injuries in two separate accidents at Shauri moyo along the Mombasa Malindi highway.
Among those injured include a nephew to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho. He was airlifted for special treatment.

Joho’s nephew was responding to an accident that involved his sister who was driving a Toyota Prado when he was involved in another accident. The Prado collided head on with a canter.
Kilifi County Executive Committee member for Health services Charles Dadu Confirmed that two people died on the spot.
Dadu said three people are still in critical condition while 13 others were stable and responding well to treatment.
”At around 4.30 pm today we got a phone call about a grisly road accident near Mombasa cement we sought emergency services to respond, now we have completed rescuing them,” he said.
