Three teachers have been killed in a suspected Al Shabaab morning attack in Kamuthe, Garissa County.
Confirming the incident, North Eastern Regional Police Commander Paul Soi said the militants were targeting a communication mast and a police camp in the area.
The militia carried the attack on Kamuthe police post in Fafi Sub-County at around 2:30 a.m.
The teachers are believed to be non-locals.
“The militants set the police camp on fire and further tried to bring down the communication mast located about three hundred (300 metres away,” read the report.
A team of security agents was mobilized to pursue the attackers who locals said were about 20.
