Tanzania covid-19 cases

Tanzania covid-19 cases have now jumped to 480 after 196 new cases were reported on Wednesday.

Tanzania is now the leading country with Covid-19 cases in East Africa

While making the announcement, Tanzania’s Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa said the figures included those announced by the Zanzibar Minister of Health.

He further announced that six more people had died bringing the number of fatalities to 16.

According to the Majaliwa, 174 of the new patients were from the mainland and 22 are from Zanzibar.

The Prime minister also announced that the number of recoveries had risen from 48 to 167, with 36 recorded in Zanzibar and 83 on the mainland.
