Six bodies discovered in Tsavo national park

Scene of crime

KWS rangers on morning patrol within the Tsavo national park on Tuesday stumbled upon bodies of six unidentified men.

According to a police report, two rangers were on mobile patrol within Tsavo West National park when they encountered a foul smell and upon checking, they found the decomposing bodies of six men, a kilometre from the main Nairobi-Mombasa highway.

The report indicated that the bodies were naked and had no identification on them.

The scene was later visited by police officers from Mtito Andei police station and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations who moved the bodies to Makindu Hospital Mortuary.

The police believe the six men were likely to have been murdered elsewhere and their bodies dumped in the park.

Makueni County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim called on anyone with missing relatives to report to the mortuary.
