President William Ruto has sacked four board members of the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited and replaced them with immediate effect.
In a Gazette Notice dated Monday, August 5, 2024, President Ruto announced the appointment of Noah Ndemo Nyachae, Rawlynce Bett, Naisula Keko, and Sarah Keino. These new board members will assume their roles immediately.
“The appointments of the previous board members Geoffrey Noah Angwenyi, David Kipkurui Samoei, Rukia Rashid, and Elisha Biwot have been officially revoked. The newly appointed members will serve from August 6, 2024, until March 9, 2026,” read the notice.

The outgoing members had been appointed on March 10, 2023, and were originally set to hold their positions until March 2026. The abrupt termination of their terms suggests a strategic shift in leadership at the New KCC, potentially aimed at driving new policies and reforms within the organization.
The New KCC is a crucial player in Kenya’s dairy industry, and these changes in its leadership are likely to have significant implications for the sector. The incoming board members bring diverse experiences and expertise, which could herald a new era of growth and transformation for the company.
