Pwani Oil Cuts Prices In Fight Against Covid-19


Kenya’s edible oil manufacturer Pwani Oil has slashed the prices of some of its products to enable consumers take precautionary measures against the deadly Covid-19 virus

The company reduced by 5 percent the prices of its soaps and edible oils.

The company reduced the prices its soap products Diva, Sawa and Detrex to encourage hand washing among Kenyans.

The price of the Fresh Fri Garlic brand of cooking oil was also reduced.

“As a business that cares for the well-being of our consumers, we are alive to the serious health challenge posed by the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Our decision to lower prices on some of our products is informed by the need to encourage consumers to embrace preventive measures against the disease including healthy nutrient intake and personal hygiene,” said the company commercial director Rajul Malde.
