Mombasa Nominated Senator Miraj Abdilahi has called on the Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndungu to fast track the payment of 500 Posta Kenya employees.

The move she says will allow the employees to enjoy their Christmas season.

I’m appealing to the treasury CS to fast track the monthly payments of these 500 Posta Kenya workers. They are workers who have dedicated to serving this country.’’ Miraj said.

The vocal senator noted that the civil servants play a crucial role in national building.

She further pointed out that Posta Kenya also played a critical role in building the nation.

’’Posta Kenya plays a significant role like any other parastatal. The CS in charge of communication should ensure that this matter is resolved,’’

Miraj further asked the Information Communication and Technology Cabinet Secretary to sort out the issue once and for all.

The senator was leading a senate committee sitting on information communication and technology as the deputy chair.

The meeting was aimed at resolving the payment stalemate at Posta Kenya
