The Orange Democratic Movement ODM leaders in Kilifi County have predicted an early victory in the August General election.

They expressed optimism about emerging winners with a margin of 70 percent.

Led by Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire, they said the County remains an ODM stronghold and expressed hopes that the remaining 30 percent who are still undecided shall make up their minds before the election date to vote for ODM.

The MP said Kilifi people will vote for Six-piece in favour of ODM and the other parties shall lose by a  wide margin.

“Kilifi people have already closed votes basket for Raila Odinga and the entire Kilifi ODM team, we are telling our competitors that they should prepare to go home,” said Mwambire.

Speaking at Mwahera Village during the groundbreaking of the Teddy Mwambire Secondary school, the MP said they have already employed enough strategies of protecting Raila’s votes and ensuring that he wins in the August polls.

“It is evident that even when you look at those entities doing opinion polls it shows we are going to win by over 70 per cent what remains now is to ensure we protect our votes and also make sure people turn out in large numbers during the voting day,” he said.

He said the Pamoja African Alliance in Kilifi County have sensed defeat because they are campaigning for Raila instead of their Kenya Kwanza-led William Ruto.

“The PAA brigade in Kilifi when they are in podiums they don’t campaign for Six-piece, unlike the UDA.  How do you say from Governor going downwards vote for PAA but for the president choose your preferred candidate, this is a sign that they are drumming support for Raila,” said Mwambire.

The leaders also lauded the ODM party for appointing Fikirini Jacobs as a nominated Senator for Kilifi County.

Fikirini who is the former Pwani University student leader earlier had an interest in vying for Kilifi Senate seat but later shelved his ambition in favour of the incumbent Stewart Madzayo.

Mwambire also said the appointment shows that their party values them, citing that there are other nominations slated for MCAs.

Victor  Rimba a resident and youth said they are proud of their fellow youth to be nominated to the Senate, expressing hopes that Ganze will be represented fully in National issues torching its residents.

“We thank a lot for the ODM party leader Raila Odinga for giving us a nomination slot in the Senate. As Ganze people we feel well represented in National issues,” said  Rimba.
