Derrick Mwero from Kenya Navy primary tops Coast in KCPE


CHAKA Derrick Mwero from Kenya navy Primary school in Mtongwe is the top student in the coast region in the just released KCPE results.

Mwero scored 435 marks, only five marks below the top candidate in the country who scored 440 marks.

He scored 88 in English, 96 in Kiswahili, 85in Mathematics, 79 in Science and 87 in Social Studies and Religious Education.

At second position in the region is Rodney Isack Kahura from Kilifi high vision academy.

Kahura scored 431 marks out of the possible 500 marks. At third position was Maxwell Nzaro Mbeo from Maereni Primary school in Kambe, Rabai Sub County.

Mbeo scored 430 marks.

Both Kenya Navy and Maereni primary are public schools.

Twelve students from Kilifi high vision academy scored above 400 marks.

Another school that performed well is Mtwapa Elite academy where twenty seven students scored above 400 marks. the first student in the school scored 426 marks.
