Lamu DCIO Onchiri dies after falling in his house

Lamu West Division Criminal Investigations Officer (DCIO) Robert Onchiri is dead.

Onchiri died at the King Fahad hospital where he was rushed after he fell in his house in Lamu.

Police sources say the officer fell on the staircase of his house on Sunday night. He fractured his left leg and was taken to the hospital while bleeding.

Plans to fly his body to Nairobi are underway. A postmortem will also be conducted in Nairobi.

Onchiri was set to take over in Urban, Mombasa in the same capacity after he was transferred there last week. DCI George Kinoti described him as a hardworking officer as he mourned the death.

    It’s a sudden death that has left our family in deep woonded wounds.Uncle you promised a Party but it’s too late.we can never see you anymore.Rest in peace uncle
