The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released the timetable for the upcoming Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).
The exams will commence with a rehearsal on October 25, followed by the main examinations from October 28 to 30.
“The time allocated for each paper is indicated alongside its name, and no extra time will be given. The time for reading through the questions is included within the overall time shown on the paper, except where specific instructions state otherwise,” KNEC clarified.
The council urged supervisors and invigilators to ensure that candidates are issued with personalized mark sheets, bearing their correct names and assessment numbers.

On the first day of the exams, candidates will start with the mathematics paper in the morning, followed by the English paper in mid-morning.
On the second day, the Integrated Science paper will be administered in the morning, followed by Kiswahili/Kenyan Sign Language in mid-morning. The final day will feature the Creative Arts and Social Studies paper in the morning.
KNEC also advised teachers to ensure that candidates fully understand the instructions provided and are aware of the consequences of assessment misconduct or irregularities.
“You are not permitted to leave the assessment room before the end of the allocated time, unless with special permission from the supervisor,” KNEC warned candidates.
The council further noted that any candidate found guilty of an assessment irregularity in any paper will have their results for the entire subject cancelled.
Additionally, anyone who gains access to assessment materials and discloses the contents, either orally or in writing, to an unauthorized person, whether a candidate or not, will violate Section 27 of the KNEC Act No. 29 of 2012.
The penalties include imprisonment for up to 10 years, a fine of up to Ksh 2 million, or both.
