Kenya’s Covid-19 cases rise to 5,206 after 254 new cases


Kenya has recorded 254 new cases of Covid-19, raising the country’s total confirmed cases to 5,206.

The 25 new cases were recorded on Wednesday from 4, 859 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours.

While announcing the news cases, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi said Kenya’s cumulative tests now stand at 151, 361.  

Mwangangi said a total of 41 patients have been discharged, bringing the number of coronavirus recoveries in the country to 1, 823.

At the same time, two more patients succumbed to the virus raising the country’s fatalities to 130.
