Kenya has reported nine new covid-19 cases.
This brings the country’s total number to 225 cases. Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said 803 samples had been tested in the last 24 hours.
CS Kagwe said all the new patients were Kenyans and that five cases were reported in Nairobi while four were reported in Mombasa.
CS Kagwe further said a total of 2,366 people had been tested and 1,911 released.

He said 455 people are under follow-up.
He said 12 more people had been discharged from hospital raising the number of recoveries to 53.
He also reported one more death from covid-19, raising the number to 10.
The government received 18,900 swabs, protective clothing, thermometer guns and other equipment from the Jack Ma Foundation.
Another consignment of gowns and other equipment was also received from WHO.
