Kenya has reported eight new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing total number of cases to 270.
Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi on Sunday said the cases were confirmed after 1,330 samples were tested.
With the same period, the country also reported two more deaths, bringing total number of fatalities to 14.
Out of the eight patients, seven are Kenyans while one is a foreigner but all of them have no travel history.
Three cases emanated from the quarantine facilities while the other five were picked by the surveillance team across the country.
Four are from Mombasa county, three from Nairobi and one from Kajiado county.
They are aged between 17 and 65 years of age.
The CAS also announced that the country had discharged seven people today, taking the number of recoveries to 67.
