Kenya records 8 new coronavirus cases


Kenya has reported 8 new cases of coronavirus.

This brings to 363 the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country.

On Monday, health CS Mutahi Kagwe confirmed that the cases were recorded in Mombasa and Nairobi.

Nairobi and Mombasa recorded four cases each.

The CS also announced eight more recoveries bringing those who have recovered from the virus in the country to 114.

Fatalities still remain at 14. All of the new cases are Kenyans who have no travel history.

“Kenya’s situation will unravel itself because of you. If we take responsibilities as individuals then we will fight this virus,” Kagwe said.

Kagwe noted that Kenyans have begun to adhere to the rules and regulations set down by the government on the hygiene side.

“It has brought the cost of health care, cases of stomach problems have gone down drastically, Cases of diarrhea have also declined,” he said.
