Renowned author and journalist Ken Walibora Waliaula is dead.

Walibora was hit by a matatu along Landhies road on Friday.

His remains were traced to Kenyatta National Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday morning.

Family and friends have been looking for him since Friday when he disappeared.

Reports indicate that Walibora was crossing the road when the accident happened.

according to the police, Walibora had car keys in the hand and a press card in his pocket.

“He had some identification documents and a car key. His family identified the body but they are waiting for the mother to come,” Central Police boss Mark Wanjala said.

His car is missing.

Ken Walibora was one of Kenya’s most prolific writers, with about 40 books to his name.

His most famous books include Siku Njema published in 1996, Ndoto ya Amerika, Kidagaa kimemwozea and many others

He also worked as a Kiswahili news anchor on NTV and QTV.

He also worked as an assistant professor in African Languages at the University of Wisconsin before moving to Nation Media group where he served as the Kiswahili quality manager until January 2017.

He also taught at the School of International Relations and Diplomacy at the Riara University.
