Crime rate in Jomvu Sub County has drastically decreased.

This is according to Jomvu Member of Parliament Badi Twalib.

Twalib says he has initiated youth programs in the constituency to address some of the teething challenges facing the constituency.

The MP was speaking through a phone interview on Tuesday.

The vocal legislator further noted that he has been giving scholarships to hundreds of bright but needy students.

‘’I have been giving bursaries to students who have been performing well. This move is aimed at ensuring that they can also attain education.’’ Badi noted.

Badi pointed out that his vision is to see an academically inclined constituency.

The legislator said “My number one priority is education. Education to all’’

He noted that through his empowerment programs he has been able to reduce the rate of teenage pregnancy in the constituency.

‘I have been able to do this through engaging girls in various empowerment programs.’’

The vocal lawmaker said he is working with Equity Bank to ensure that youth’s affairs are factored in.

“My office is working closely with local banks to ensure that youths are trained on proper investment skills.’’

He further pointed out that he is closely working with security agents to ensure that the constituency remains calm.

’’I have been working closely with the security agents and I can confirm that my area is one of the safest places throughout the county. I have been to set up police stations to address the challenges of insecurity in my constituency.’’ Said the MP.
