Government Deputy Spokesperson Mwanaisha Chidzuga has called on youths to join and form organizations instead of joining criminal gangs.
According to her, the move will ensure that they benefit from government funds and grants.
Chidzuga further pointed out that the government will continue investing in the youths in a bid to uplift their living standards.
She says the government has prioritized investing and tapping talents amongst the youths through the Talanta Hela Initiative.
“The government has been keen in investing in talents amongst the youths, this has been made possible through the Talanta Hela Initiatives.’’ She stated.
The government official was speaking in Tana River during Soccer derby that has been happening for years through the sponsorship of Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana.
She noted “the move is in line with the government agenda of planting 15 billion trees in the next 10 years.’’
A total of four teams were awarded cash prizes by the Deputy Government Spokesperson Mwanaisha Chidzuga and Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana.
The Interclan football tournament takes place in the month of December every year in Ngao village.
The four combined teams are Deno Kale, Karya Obole, Katsoo Yuu and Katsae Kamwelo.
This year’s finals was between Katsae Kamwelo who won 1 against Katsoo Yuu’s Nil.
