It’s back to school for Ganze and Kaloleni MPs

PKKaloleni MP Paul Katana and his Ganze Counterpart Teddy Mwambire when they visited their former school

Kaloleni Member of Parliament Paul Katana and his Ganze counterpart on Saturday caused a stir at Mariakani Secondary school when they attended the school’s AGM donning school uniforms of their former school.

The two leaders are Alumni of the school.

The leaders said the gesture was to show their commitment to helping their former school at the same time encourage students from the school that they can make it in life.

“I was here from 1995 and Katana was in his fourth year. We just felt we should remind ourselves of those days by putting on the school uniform,” said Mwambire

Katana urged the students to focus on education as they prepare to battle the big names in the forthcoming national examination.

He said during their time the school was in a more deplorable condition but they still managed to get good grades.

They promised to rope in more old students to assist the school in infrastructure development and improving the school’s performance.

They were accompanied by Kilifi county nominated senator Christine Zawadi.
