The coast region will receive heavy rainfall from today, the weatherman has said.
The above 70 millimetres rainfall is expected to pound parts of Taita Taveta, Kilifi, Lamu, Kwale and Kitui counties.
According to the meteorological department, the rains are expected last through to April 6, 2020.
Parts of Tana River, Kajiado, Narok, Kirinyaga, Makueni, Mombasa and Kitui counties will receive moderate rainfall that will cumulatively be between 20-70 mm.

The rest of the country is expected to receive light cumulatively rainfall below 20 mm.
Marsabit, Turkana, Baringo and some parts of Samburu are expected to remain dry during the period under review.
