Gunners FC crowned winners of Badi Super cup 10TH edition.

Gunner’s FC from Jomvu Constituency are the overall winners of this year’s 10th edition of the Badi Twalib Super Cup.

The team emerged winners after a grim battle from rival teams including Arena FC from Mikindani Staff FC among others.

The team parted away with various awards including medals, a cup and a cash prize of Ksh300,000.

The game was played at Amani Primary School in Mikindani Jomvu constituency.

Speaking during the event Jomvu Member of Parliament Badi Twalib said he is aiming at forming a constituency team that will include all the teams within the constituency.

“My aim is to tap talents and I’m in the process of connecting to big clubs such as the prisons and Kenya Pipeline so that we can tap talents’’ said Badi.

Meanwhile, a top Bandari official who spoke on condition of anonymity said Jomvu constituency is an epicenter of talents.

The official said they will continue uplifting talents amongst the youths.

“We have pinpointed out five to six players who we think can be of value to our team. The transfer window will be opened in January next year.” He noted.

He says the players will be called for trials at the national club.

“The players are Said Tsuma Majaliwa Charo, Katana Kahindi, Stephen Mweni, and Sammy Masha and one of the captains of the teams involved in this tournament,” said the official.

Also present at the event were Mvita lawmaker Mohamed Machele, Mombasa Senator Mohamed Faki, Mombasa Women Representative Zamzam Mohamed Mombasa County Education CECM Mbwarali Kame and Water and Sanitation CECM Emily Achieng.
