Members of Kilifi county Pamoja African Alliance Party gubernatorial candidate George Kithi campaign team were saturday evening involved in an accident while on campaign trail in Ganze constituency.

Confirming the incident, Kithi said he was not in the car that rolled severally near Mwarandinda in Sokoke ward.

“There are a lot of speculations going round about the accident that has occurred at around 6pm today involving my convoy. Yes, some members of my team were involved in that accident but I want to assure all Kilifians that all is well. We laud Kilifi Referral Hospital for their relentless support, who picked the case with much care and I am happy to report that those involved are doing well. I would also want to put it clear that I am okay and am not among those who were injured since I was in another car. We thank you all for your support and prayers. Lets remain calm as we give hope for the casualties,” posted Kithi on Facebook.
