Former minister Joe Nyagah dies at 72

Former Cooperative Development Minister and politician Joe Nyagah is dead.

His brother Norman confirmed that Nyagah died while receiving treatment on Friday at the Nairobi Hospital.

The family said he succumbed to covid-19.

He served in former president Daniel Moi’s last cabinet.

He was a member of Orange Democratic Movement’s ‘Pentagon’ in the lead up to the 2007 general election.

He was son of the late Jeremiah Nyagah, one of the ministers in Moi’s first cabinet.

Joe Nyagah vied for the presidency in the 2017 General Elections as an independent candidate.
