Impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will face the Senate plenary to defend himself.
This follows a flop by majority leader Aaron Cheruiyot’s motion to form a special committee to hear charges against the DP.
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna declined to second the motion.

Speaker Amason Kingi has directed the plenary shall investigate the charges on Wednesday and Thursday next week.
The National Assembly and Gachagua have until the end of Monday to submit their evidence.
