Covid-19: Kenya confirms 4 new cases

There are four new confirmed four cases of covid-19 in Kenya.

According to Health cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the four are one Kenyan and three foreigners from the US, Cameroon and Burkina Faso.

Three of the cases are from Nairobi while the fourth is from Mombasa County.

The four were results from 69 analyzed samples.

The total number of cases now stands at 42.

Kagwe said the government has embarked on mass testing for those believed to have been in contact with Covid-19 patients.

According to Kagwe, 833 people have been tested so far and were aiming to test 2,000 others through the mass test.

He said a total of 1,141 contacts are being traced

“We are closely monitoring 978 close contacts and we have discharged 163 after the 14-day follow up period,” Kagwe said.
