Blackwood HodgeChief Executive Mohammed Elghareeb explains to Tele-evangelist and Jesus Teaching Ministry founder Apostle Peter Manyuru how am FG Wilson P550-S generator set highly recommended for big factories works.

Industrial power solutions provider, Blackwood Hodge has announced a change in its business strategy with diversification into the water supply solutions.

The firm has been mainly selling FG Wilson generators but has since included water treatment and pumping solutions as well as material handling solutions in an effort to expand local presence.

Speaking during the Blackwood Hodge Kenya Expo, Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Elghareeb said the new offerings will address current water quality challenges in Kenya.

“Every solution we bring to the market is backed by our international partners and our local team’s commitment to deliver outstanding products and unparalleled customer experience,” said Elghareeb.

The Nairobi Industrial Area based firm, says the two new products will enjoy full end-to-end support from sales, to technical support, client training on product use to aftersales backup as well as provision of genuine spare parts.

The offerings come at a time that incidents of contamination have been on the rise across the country with several people having lost their lives while others having been hospitalised after they reportedly consumed contaminated water.

Established in Kenya in 1949, Blackwood Hodge has largely built its name on provision of Power diesel generator sets, offering technical solutions and after sales support.

Elghareeb said Blackwood Hodge will continue to develop and mentor Kenyan staff by investing in soft skills and technical training on all products introduced in the Kenyan market.

This is backed by Blackwood Hodge global supplier network made up of world top solution providers in power generation, water solutions and material handling systems.

He pointed out that Kenya’s free market economy has birthed product merchants whose focus is to sell products at the lowest cost.

This approach has led many to overlook the importance of aftersales solutions such as equipment management, maintenance and provision of spare parts.

“In these hard times, no business can afford breakdowns of machinery due to lack of spare parts or substandard products with no guarantee. Clients must be provided with adequate information about a product as a way of supporting business continuity. This is a service Blackwood Hodge is sincerely proud to provide” adds Elghareeb.
