According to family members, the autopsy failed to take place because the government pathologist was on leave.
Kilifi county chief officer for medical services Bilal Mazoya confirmed the pathologist is on leave.
“She is currently on leave and she cannot come because her child is admitted to hospital. The family has been advised to go to coast general hospital because that is where we have another government pathologist,” said Mazoya
Saumu allegedly committed suicide on Friday morning at the school.
The body has since been moved to Mombasa for the autopsy.
