14 candidates shortlisted for EACC CEO position

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has announced a shortlist of 14 candidates for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position.

The names were published in Friday’s newspapers, along with an invitation for the candidates to attend interviews at the Public Service Commission House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi.

These interviews will take place in the 1st-floor boardroom.

The interviews are scheduled to run from November 19 to November 21, 2024.

On November 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Stephen Masha Ngowa, Doreen Nkatha Muthaura, Jackson Kaunda Mue, Joseph Vincent Onyango, Paul Ndemo Maina will face the interviewing panel.

On November 20, the interviewees will be Vincent Omari Okongo, Peter Lokol Lomulen (PWD), Obadiah Kipkoech Keitany, John Tentemo Ole Moyaki and David Kiplagat Ruto Too.

The final set of interviews on November 21 will include Abdi Ahmed Mohamud Justa Wawira Mwangi (PWD), Mohamed Abdul Mmaka, and Waweru Karanja

The 14 candidates were selected from a pool of 172 applicants.

EACC has instructed the shortlisted candidates to bring their original documents, including their National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates, and a self-declaration form stamped by the Commission. Additionally, candidates must have valid and current clearances from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), and the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

Candidates who obtained degrees from foreign universities must present letters of recognition from the Commission of Higher Education. They are also required to provide recommendation letters from relevant professional bodies, where applicable, along with any other supporting documents or testimonials.

The public has been invited to participate in the selection process by submitting any credible information regarding the suitability of the shortlisted candidates. Such information must be presented in the form of an affidavit and addressed to the EACC Chairperson, Dr. David Oginde, PhD. Submissions can be sent via email to chair@integrity.go.ke or delivered to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Integrity Center, 3rd Floor, P.O. Box 61130-00200, Nairobi.

The position of CEO was advertised by the EACC on September 17, with the application deadline set for October 7, 2024.
