123 new coronavirus cases reported in Kenya

Kenya on Wednesday recorded 123 Coronavirus cases, bringing the total to 2,216.

In the last 24 hours, 2,112 samples were tested. To date, 85,058 tests have been done.

Nairobi county recorded 44, Mombasa 34, Busia 20, Uasin Gishu 12, Kiambu 3 Kilifi 2 among others.

Health CAS Rashid Aman also announced the discharging of 54 patients bringing the number of recoveries to 553.

This is the highest number of recoveries Kenya has so far recorded since the announcing of the first discharge case on 1st April, 2020.

three more people succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of fatalities to 74

Aman warned Kenyans against using face masks as ‘chin guards’ and wearing them below the nose.
